Muriel Ursaki, 89, of Burlington, widow of Kenneth C. Ursaki, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 14th. Born in London, Ontario, Canada, May 10th, 1922, daughter of the late David and Ina (Norfolk) Tiffin. Her life revolved around her family and community. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Muriel was a dedicated member of the Burlington Congregational Church for over 40 years where she was involved in many committees. She welcomed and embraced everyone into the community with her warm and caring nature. Muriel enjoyed gardening and current events. Muriel worked at JC Penney for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Harakas of Winthrop, MA, her daughter Pat Ursaki of New Hartford, her son Ken Ursaki and his wife Linne of Burlington, her son Don Ursaki of New Britain, her grandchildren, Lee Harakas, Kristen U. and Ian U. Lockaby, Lauren and Julia Ursaki, Annie Ursaki and her mother Teri Benmoar, her sister-in-law, Dot Ursaki and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Vic and Gord Tiffin and her grandson, Brett Harakas. Funeral services will be held Saturday (May 21) at 10:00am in Burlington Congregational Church, Burlington with Rev. Wendall Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Center Cemetery, Burlington. Edil P. Pena, 81, of Hartford, beloved husband of Maria (del Risco), passed away peacefully Thursday, May 5th. Born in Camaguey, Cuba, May 17th, 1929, son of the late Prospero and Dolores (Salazar) Pena. Prior to retiring, Edil was a Butcher at Mosey’s Beef for thirteen years. He was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed fishing, wrestling and television. Besides his wife, Edil is survived by his two children, Maria Romero and her husband Michael of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Eddie Pena of Hartford, two grandchildren, Austen and Samira Pena, two sisters, Anna Louisa Pena of Florida and Fidelina Pena of Cuba, a brother, Andres Pena of Cuba, his mother-in-law, Aurora del Risco of Hartford, a special niece Clara del Risco of Florida and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Oscar del Risco. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 180 Farmington Ave., Hartford on Sunday (May 8) from 1:00-4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (May 9) at 12:00pm in Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
