Katherine G. Goulet, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2011. Born on July 26, 1925 in Waterbury, Katherine worked for the State of Connecticut for over 30 years, starting as a secretary for Central Connecticut State College in the 1950′s. Katherine retired from the State in November of 1985. She became active in the CSEA Council 400. She was a leader in passing legislation that provided retired employees with fully paid retiree health insurance. She held many positions in CSEA including President of CSEA Chapter 401. She worked tirelessly for the benefit of active and retired state employees. She leaves behind a brother, Joseph Goulet; a sister, Helen Licnikas; a son, Glen Kondysar; a grandson, Kevin Kondysar; a special niece, Gloria Swanson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her kindness and generosity to all will be missed. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (June 2) from 6:00-8:00 pm. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 8:00pm.
