Helen D. Henry, of Farmington, died Monday, June 11, 2012. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 1, 1929, daughter of the late Riley C. and Gertrude Coffee Henry. She was an RN graduate of the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, The University of Miami and Columbia University. She spent most of her career in administration at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. After moving to Connecticut, she was employed by the State of Connecticut Veterans Home and Hospital in Rocky Hill until her retirement. She was a member of The First Church of Christ in Wethersfield. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Kitty Henry Moore and William Moore of Farmington, a brother-in-law, Claude Nelson, a nephew, Andrew Nelson, a niece, Carrie Nelson all of DeBary, Florida, a nephew, Riley C. Henry III of Cleveland, Tennessee, and a nephew, Dr. Douglas B. Moore of Medford, New Jersey. She was predeceased by a brother, Riley C. Henry II of Deltona, Florida and a sister, Laura Henry Nelson of DeBary, Florida. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington.
