John L. Wolk, 78, of Unionville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 15th. Born in Unionville, July 30th, 1932, son of the late Luke and Anna (Kolosky) Wolk, he was a lifelong resident of town. Prior to retiring, John was an Engineer at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for over 30 years. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and an avid golfer and bowler. John is survived by his three sisters, Anna M. Blejewski of Farmington, Margaret Malentacchi of Canton and Mary W. Jones and her husband John P. Jones, Jr., of Bristol and many, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Helen MacDonald and Agnes Roy. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Saturday (Sept. 18) from 10:00-11:00am followed by a Prayer Service in the funeral home at 11:00am.
